At the end of this course you will be able to:

Recognize the signs and symptoms of the most frequent pediatric pathologies

Provide appropriate care during a public health emergency to a child victim

Demonstrate the ability to give first aid

List the procedures for correctly alerting the Emergency Health Service

Topics covered in the theoretical session: Cardiac arrest, Emergency call, Foreign body unblocking maneuvers, Respiratory difficulty, Fever, Convulsions, Dehydration, Vomiting, Diarrhea, Abdominal pain, Allergic reactions, Epistaxis (nosebleed), Wounds, Burns, Trauma skull, bone and joint trauma, injuries from marine organisms, semi-drowning and drowning, poisoning and intoxication, syncope (fainting).

Practical tests: exercises on pediatric dummies in order to perfect the techniques of CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) the pediatric unblocking maneuvers.
