The examination of the bladder residue (volume of urine that remains in the bladder immediately after emptying) is necessary and indispensable for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of pathologies related to the urologenital system: inflammation of the prostate, prostatic hypertrophy, etc. The simplicity and speed of execution of the exam explain its great use in the clinical setting.
To obtain reliable results it is necessary to hydrate well a few days before the visit and observe some indications in the hours preceding the exam
